Getting ready:

  • Preheat oven (hot) to 450 degrees
  • Mix in bowl 2 cups of flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Add 4 tablespoons softened margarine (I use a microwave or, if I plan ahead, I leave it out for a few hours) to flour mixture. Blend by hand.
  • Add 3/4 cup soy milk to flour mixture stirring with spoon till dough ball forms.

The fun part:

  • Turn dough out on floured board. Knead briefly. Press and roll to 1/2in. thick.
  • Cut 2in. circles. Knead remnant and repeat.
  • Bake 12m on ungreased baking sheet.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons softened margarine
  • 3/4 cup plain soy milk
